Lip Rejuvenation

Lip Rejuvenation: You Have Options

Lip rejuvenation can plump and volumize the lips, creating results that look and feel natural, soft and smooth. Non-surgical rejuvenation procedures may be the perfect solution for women whose lips are naturally thinned or those whose lips have thinned due to age.

Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Farzad R. Nahai at The Center for Plastic Surgery at MetroDerm, P.C., is highly experienced in performing both surgical and non-surgical enhancements for the face and body. His extensive training in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures combined with his sensitive approach to each patient’s needs, make him a top surgeon in the metro Atlanta, GA, area.

Candidates for Rejuvenation

  • Lips that have always been thin due to genetics.
  • Lips that have thinned as a result of age or smoking.
  • Lips that are already full but would like more definition.
  • Lips not symmetrical.

Injectable Fillers

Filler products most commonly used for lip injections are made of either hyaluronic acid (HA), collagen or an individual’s own fat tissue. Collagen injections in the lips can produce great results, but some people have allergies to bovine-derived collagen products, and these results typically last only 1 to 2 months. At The Center for Plastic Surgery at MetroDerm, P.C., our preferred filler for lip injections is Juvéderm® because it has a reputation for being a very smooth filler product that is easy to inject and can achieve very soft lip enhancement results.

Top or Bottom

Most people who seek enhancement have their bottom lip augmented although some people may choose to have both the top and bottom lip enhanced. Having only the top augmented is uncommon since the top lip is not as prone to thinning as the bottom.

Each patient is unique; therefore, results of treatment may vary.
