Mary Popp and Christie Cox are Registered Nurses who are highly trained in providing aesthetic injectables. Their unique combination of knowledge, professionalism and expertise along with their ability to inject comfortably results in the most positive patient experience. These attributes open up the schedule for Botox, Dysport,  and Dermal Filler appointments at the Center for Plastic Surgery at MetroDerm. You’ll want to schedule a consultation with Mary and Christie to get a sense of how much you’re going to enjoy having them work on providing you with a more youthful face.


StaffMary Popp, RN

Mary Popp is a registered nurse who has been in practice in Atlanta since 2000. Her expertise lies in Botox® CosmeticDysport® and filler injectables. Mary has written and published about injectables in a peer reviewed surgical textbook, Eyelid and Periorbital Surgery. With that expertise and her well-known reputation, Mary has built an established and busy practice in injectables. Because of her extensive experience, she has provided training to residents at Emory University’s Plastic Surgery Residency program and has been an injectable trainer for Allergan, makers of Botox® Cosmetic and Juvéderm®.

Mary also has extensive experience in plastic surgery itself, as she has been the primary surgical assistant for renowned plastic surgeons at Paces Plastic Surgery. Mary is now the surgical assistant to Farzad R. Nahai, M.D., plastic surgeon for The Center for Plastic Surgery at MetroDerm, P.C.. She helps aid in the management and care of our surgical patients.

Mary’s other achievements include developing and organizing a medical mission to Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center in Moshi, Tanzania. Mary plans to continue her endeavor with future medical missions. Her other passions and enjoyments outside of work include spending time with family and friends, traveling, and playing golf.

Christie Cox, RN

Christie began her career as a nurse at Grady Hospital in 1997 where she spent ten years in the neonatal ICU. Her aesthetic career began in 2006 with injectables as her focus.  Previously, Christie worked with Galderma, makers of Dysport, Restylane, Restyane Lyft, Restylane Silk, Restylane Refyne, Restylane Defyne and Sculpture  where she trained physicians and practitioners in
injectable techniques as well as the science of the Restylane family of fillers of hyaluronic acid fillers.

Christie joined MetroDerm in 2018 as a medical aesthetic injector where she can provide patients with a wide array of botulinum toxins including both Botox and Dysport as well as Hyaluronic Acid fillers such as  Juvederm, Voluma, Vollure, Restylane, Belotero, and Radiesse. With her extensive experience, Christie brings great value to the Center for patients at The Plastic Surgery at MetroDerm.   She works directly under the supervision of Farzad R. Nahai, M.D.

In her time outside of the practice, Christie enjoys traveling and spending time with her three teenage children.
